Dog Man and Cat Kid by Dav Pilkey is an adventurous tale about a superhero dog and cat team。 Dog Man， a superhero dog， strives to save his hometown with his sidekick cat Petey。 Dog Man is a half-dog/half-human mix made in a hospital after a tragic accident。 Petey is a small kitten that Dog Man brings home one day and intends to make his sidekick。 But， when Petey becomes too much for Dog Man to handle， he calls in a cat sitter。 Unfortunately， Dog Man has no idea that his new sitter is an evil fel Dog Man and Cat Kid by Dav Pilkey is an adventurous tale about a superhero dog and cat team。 Dog Man， a superhero dog， strives to save his hometown with his sidekick cat Petey。 Dog Man is a half-dog/half-human mix made in a hospital after a tragic accident。 Petey is a small kitten that Dog Man brings home one day and intends to make his sidekick。 But， when Petey becomes too much for Dog Man to handle， he calls in a cat sitter。 Unfortunately， Dog Man has no idea that his new sitter is an evil feline villain that is trying to get Petey to help him take over the world。 Dog Man has no idea what he has gotten himself into。 Dog Man gets hired as a bodyguard for a new movie being filmed in his town。 He leaves Petey with the cat sitter while he's gone。 The cat sitter decides to teach Petey his cruel ways and turn him into his evil sidekick。 Petey wants nothing more than for Dog Man to return home to save him from his new sitter。 The cat sitter begins teaching Petey illegal things such as jaywalking and littering。 Petey feels horrible every time he does something evil。 He gets talked down to by his sitter and is constantly told he must be evil because it is his destiny。 Petey knows he must break free from his sitter， and tell Dog Man what is happening。Dog Man is super busy at his new bodyguard job。 While trying to watch over the actors， he can't help but get in everyone's way。 He messes up the whole set and gets fired from his new job。 He walks away sad and depressed and decides to return home。 Meanwhile， Petey and his sitter have arrived at the filming set to cause some trouble。 They ruin everything and even dangle the actors from the ceiling。 Dog Man immediately knows something is wrong and rushes back to the set。 He quickly finds out that the sitter he hired is evil。 He and the other actors on set try and defeat the sitter， but it isn't enough。 In addition to this， Petey knows something must be done。 He realizes he is not meant to be evil。 He races home to get one of his robots he knows can help destroy the sitter。 Petey returns to the set with the robot to help Dog Man and the actors defeat the corrupt sitter。 In the end， Petey's robot defeats the sitter， and he is taken to jail。 Petey knows his true destiny is to be a superhero， not a villain。 Dog Man， Petey， and his robot return home to have a peaceful night now that all is well with their town。 Finally， I rated this book 4 stars because it was full of action， and suspense。 Dog Man is a book that brought me back to my middle school days。 I enjoyed the childish characters and the drawings the author made for this book。 One thing I wish that could be changed about this book is the sitter's name。 The sitter remains nameless throughout the book。 However， I would definitely recommend this book to anyone that loves graphic novels。 It is entertaining to read a graphic novel every once in a while。 Dog Man is truly a book readers will get a kick out of。 Dav Pikley reminds us that graphic novels can be enjoyed at any age。 。。。more

For any struggling readers who may need to do some longer books， the Dog Man books are super interesting and really keeps the attention of the reader。 Not only are the pictures super fun， the writing is actually really interesting and funny！

so i think that the book was really good bc i am a fan of graphic novels and i think that it was really funny and was a great book out of the series and when i got done reading the preveious book。 I would have never thought that lil petey and dog man would become superheros。 And when petey help with the idea to take down the villian i was even more surpised and that is why i think that this book should desvere five star bc of its amazing story and plot。
